Mother’s Day 2014, was a beautiful sunny day, spent with my one & only daughter Savannah who treated me to dinner and the movie “Belle.” We had a wonderful day! We also called with well wishes to other mothers including: my mom, sisters, relatives and friends.
When I think about Mother’s Day, one day really can not be pinned down to a measly 24 hours. Mom’s really need at a minimum 1 day a week to be able to simply rest and make a personal connection with themselves. The time to be honored, show appreciation and praise for the work, influence and commitment to those that we birth, nurture, love unconditionally, and keep in our prayers to never give up on… is never ending. The role of Mother should be taken seriously and never be taken for granted or ignored. The rewards of great Mothers is seen in our children’s positive growth, healthy development and natural ability to respect and love us back through their actions. A Mother’s legacy and contributions to the world is our offspring. Prayerfully, instilling characteristics such as: independence, responsibility, compassion, pride and joy are constant wishes to make and keep Mama proud now and forever more! : )
